Identifying Marks
Heinrich Th. Heberlein Jr, Guarnerious copy 1921 (or 1929) Lighter amber wood with a smallish, but deep multi-part (old) scrape on the upper left front almost looks like a gear or something similar fell on it (see 1 image for approximate location). No notable scratches elsewhere on body. Scroll has black highlight around it. Dark brown tailpiece with a small plastic piece with a magnet for a ÔquickÕ mute and only one fine-tuner for the e-string. Bridge will show marring/scraping from a heavy practice mute. Back side is a two piece flamed maple and I seem to recall some slight discoloration somewhere on the back.
